Analytical and creative thinking may seem like opposite ends of a spectrum, but they’re deeply intertwined. Analytical thinking involves breaking things down, organizing the components, and making sense of them—and seeing new and unusual ways to break down a whole and cluster its pieces is itself a creative act.
You will never find a job where you don’t need to think. In fact, thinking skills like metacognition, analytical thinking, creative thinking, and cognitive flexibility stand to be even more important than ever.
